In 2003, after a two year partnership, NFTE Baltimore separated from NFTE Greater Washington DC, and through the help of a grant from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation established our own regional office. Since then we have served over 5,000 youth, trained 54 teachers and established programs in over 30 Baltimore City Public Schools and organizations
The founding board chair of NFTE Baltimore was Mr. Lawrence M. Rivitz. He was succeeded in the summer of 2007 by Mr. Larry Jennings, President, TouchStone Partners. Now, the NFTE Baltimore Adivosry Board is chaired by William "Hassan" Murphy, III, who is with The Murphy Law FIrm.
